Cookie Policy
This policy refers to the use of cookies, as detailed below, by the website www.deix.ai. The use of cookies is part of the Privacy Policy prepared by the Data Controller, to which reference is made.
This Policy has been updated based on the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools - June 10, 2021 (Published in the Official Gazette n. 163 of July 9, 2021) issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali).
DEIX SRL with registered and operational office at the coworking space in Via Lazzaretto, 19 – 20124 Milan Tel +39 349.83.85.126 +39 338.64.62.403. Any requests for information and/or clarification about data processing can be requested by sending an email to the following address: privacy@deix.ai
They are text strings that websites (cd. Publishers, or “first parties”) visited by the user or different websites or web servers (cd. “third parties”) place and store – directly, in the case of publishers, and indirectly, i.e. through the latter, in the case of “third parties” - within a terminal device available to the user himself.
The terminals referred to are, for example, a computer, a tablet, a smartphone, or any other device capable of storing information.
Internet browsing software and the functioning of these devices, such as browsers, can store cookies and then transmit them again to the sites that generated them during a subsequent visit by the same user, thus keeping a memory of his previous interaction with one or more websites.
The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as an IP address, a username, a unique identifier, or an email address, but may also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a person is using to browse the site.
Cookies can therefore perform important and different functions, including session monitoring, storing information on specific configurations concerning users accessing the server, facilitating the use of online content, etc. They can, for example, be used to keep track of items in an online shopping cart or information used to fill out an electronic form.
The same result can also be achieved through the use of other tools (the totality of which can be divided between the so-called “active identifiers”, such as cookies, and “passive identifiers”, the latter presupposing mere observation), which allow for processing similar to those indicated above.
Among the “passive” tools is fingerprinting, which is the technique that allows the identification of the device used by the user through the collection of all or some of the information relating to the specific configuration of the device itself adopted by the data subject. This technique can be used to achieve the same profiling purposes also aimed at displaying personalized behavioral advertising and analyzing and monitoring the behavior of website visitors, or to conform the type and methods of the services rendered to the user's previously observed behaviors.
Cookies and other tracking tools can be classified based on duration (thus they can be distinguished into session or permanent cookies), or they can be classified into first-party cookies installed directly by the website the user is visiting, and third-party cookies, installed by a domain different from the one the user is visiting.
The classification of cookies based on their function is reported below.
- Technical cookies: They are used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see art. 122, paragraph 1 of the Privacy Code);
- Profiling cookies: They are used to link determined, identified or identifiable subjects to specific actions or recurrent behavioral patterns in the use of the offered functionalities (patterns) with the aim of grouping the different profiles into homogeneous clusters of different sizes, so that the data controller can, among other things, also modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized manner beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service, as well as send targeted advertising messages, i.e. in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of network navigation.
For more information on cookies and their general functions, please refer to informational websites such as http://www.allaboutcookies.org/
The described cookies are used to allow the correct functioning of the website. During browsing activities, the collection of information such as: internet protocol (IP) address; browsing browser used; parameters of the device used to connect to the site; Internet Provider, temporal references relating to the visit (date and time), visitor's source (referral) and exit web page; number of clicks, may occur. This information may be used exclusively for statistical activities without further interconnection with other data.
If the user voluntarily fills out the forms on the site, thus providing their data, these will be processed in order to fulfill pre-contractual measures, thus allowing the Data Controller to re-contact the user. It is specified that the relative information on the processing of personal data is present at the bottom of each form.
Data processing carried out through technical cookies does not require consent; on the contrary, the use of profiling cookies will take place only and exclusively based on the specific consent of the user to be manifested using the appropriate banner functionalities. Consent is free and optional and its absence does not compromise correct navigation. Consent can be revoked at any time using the features of the browser used for navigation (see also point 5.4)
The categories of cookies used by the website indicated in the Introduction are reported below.
It is specified that technical cookies or those comparable to technical cookies are related to activities strictly necessary for the functioning of the site and the provision of the service and are installed automatically following access to the site.
